Our Mission

Resonant Spaces was born from the belief that everyone deserves a place to simply be—to be with what is, to be with oneself, and to be in community with others. We believe that the better we can find internal alignment, the better we can navigate and transform our internal and external worlds.

Resonance is more than sound—it is the deep vibration of connection, reflection, and transformation. It emerges in the spaces where we feel truly heard, where we can explore the fullness of our experiences, and where we are met with curiosity and care. Resonance happens when we create space for ourselves and for each other, allowing for new ways of being, healing, and imagining to unfold.

Founded by Licensed Creative Arts Therapists, Gabriela and Jesse Asch-Ortiz, Resonant Spaces was born from our desire to foster supportive environments where this work can occur. At Resonant Spaces, we are committed to honoring our personal stories, the wisdom carried in our bodies, our ancestral lineages, and our communities.

We hold complexity, contradiction, and the spaces in between. We embrace liminality—the thresholds, the transitions, the moments of becoming. We trust intuition and creativity as vital ways of knowing, resisting, and healing. We honor justice—not just in theory, but in action, in relationships, and in the way we move through the world.

We make room for connection, reflection, and the possibilities we create when we dare to imagine something different. Because when we cultivate spaces of resonance, we open ourselves to deeper transformation—not just as individuals, but as a collective.

Personal Growth & Supervision as a Collaborative Process

We believe in co-creating spaces that foster egalitarian relationships built on mutual respect, trust, and shared power. Growth happens in relationship, not through hierarchy.

Creativity & Healing as a Right

We believe that creative expression and healing practices are not luxuries but vital rights to our wellbeing.

Cost-Accessible & Equity-Driven Services

We believe in eliminating financial barriers by offering a sliding scale model rooted in equity—not just affordability. We recognize that financial hardship can arise from systemic oppression, generational wealth disparities, caregiving responsibilities, medical debt, and other life circumstances. Our approach allows individuals to self-determine their rate so people can access care without proving their worthiness.

Culturally Humble & Reflexive Practice

We believe in honoring and uplifting each person’s lived experiences, identities, and worldviews as central. We practice cultural humility by engaging in ongoing self-reflection, ensuring that our work is guided by the wisdom and strengths that individuals bring into the space.

Liberatory & Social-Justice Oriented Care

Our work is rooted in a liberatory, anti-oppressive, and social justice-oriented framework. We recognize that healing and self-exploration are deeply connected to systemic, historical, and political realities, and we actively work to challenge oppressive systems that create harm. Reflective dialogue, creative expression, and meaning-making practices are not neutral—they are acts of care, resistance, and transformation.

Redistribution as a Practice of Care

We believe in a community-supported care model, where those with financial privilege contribute to making personal growth work accessible for others. Healing is not just individual—it is collective.

Guiding Principles

“Spaces can be real and imagined. Spaces can tell stories and unfold histories. Spaces can be interruptions, ruptures, and disruptions.
Spaces can be locations of healing and places where life begins again.”
