I am a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, with post-graduate training in Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy. I have worked for 12+ years in practices ranging from private clinics to the hospital setting with focus in supporting children to young adults with developmental and emotional needs and youth to adults in mental health care. As a clinician, I orient around techniques and philosophies of clinical improvisation and music-centered approaches, balanced with person-centered, psychodynamic and relational models of practice. Additionally, I have focused extensively on developing and teaching models of group therapy as to best support the integration of community models in response to barriers often presented by the institutional setting.
As a supervisor, I provide a held and supportive space in which we can navigate and explore challenges often presented in therapeutic relationships, institutional and systemic dynamics and barriers, and personal and professional connections to music and creative wellbeing. Consideration and training around trauma-informed, culturally-reflexive, and anti-oppressive practices is always present in discussing and framing of clinical practice.
Drawing from my experience as a musician, performer and recording artist, I can support clinicians in exploring their musical identity and creativity, developing a more authentic sense of musical presence and self. Additionally, I offer guidance in developing the use of voice and guitar, helping clinicians to expand their musical fluency, technique, and confidence in using these instruments within their work.

I am a first-generation American with Salvadorean roots and Indigenous heritage of the Maya Pipil people. My personal narrative has been one of navigating the tapestry of multifaceted identities as a Latina-American, cis-gender female within the United States and El Salvador.I am a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, currently completing a Ph.D. in Music Therapy at Temple University. With 16 years of clinical experience and 12 years of supervision experience, my journey in the profession of music therapy spans medical settings, private clinics, and schools. This varied experience has shaped my cultural-relational approach to music therapy, emphasizing humility and liberatory justice frameworks. I additionally hold trainings in Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and Austin Vocal Psychotherapy.
As a supervisor, I provide a reflective space for professionals seeking to deepen their practice. I support clinicians in anchoring their work in relational and culturally reflexive approaches, strengthening clinical voice and responsibly-held power, and exploring transference, countertransference, and therapist imposter syndrome. My supervision also offers guidance in integrating traditional spiritual practices for emotional release and energetic resourcing, applying anti-oppressive principles to reduce harm, and navigating systemic challenges, career transitions, and liberation-centered practice. Additionally, I consult on research design, implementation, and IRB submission.
My clinical and research interests lie in relational music therapy, music psychotherapy, ecological and music-centered perspectives, indigenous and spiritual healing practices, cultural reflexivity, anti-oppressive practices, and liberatory social justice—particularly through a feminist Latina lens.
